We were a crafty trio of geeky moms who teamed up to create a Crochet Kit Club with a twist… We have a few new faces, but fours years later we are still putting together awesome kits.
Laurinda Reddig – Award winning designer, author, and instructor, sharing my passion for crochet through kits, retreats, classes, and books. I have picked up a wide variety of crochet skills over the years from anyone I met with a hook. Since I was never taught not to, I tend to experiment and combine these skills in innovative ways to create my designs. Even my beginner patterns often have a little twist, to keep you on your toes, and challenge crocheters to learn new skills. But I always try to provide tutorials to help you along the way. My designs draw inspiration from my creative kids, the gorgeous yarns I get to use, and the flora and fauna that surrounds me here in southern Washington. C. Jane Reid – A writer, poet, and blogger. I hold a B.A. degree in both literature and history and completed a Master’s degree with a novel about WWI poet, Alan Seeger. A lifelong writer, I am excited to combine my interest in history with my love for crochet in a series of crochet stories influenced by historical events, romance, and a touch of the paranormal. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, daughter, and son, and the laziest cat in the world. Website: http://cjanereid.com/
One of our founding FY Team members, Monica is not as involved as she used to be, but she still makes some of the handmade goodies included in some of our kits…
Monica Lowe – Worker of Wonderous Hooks and Frantic Figurer of Fabulous Fibery fun. I’m a geeky crafter doing what I do best – making artful fiber tools and playing with it all. In between that, I’m a mom of two boys, living in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, both of which has inspired me to pursue what I love to do. One of the goals I set for myself is to use what’s around me; fallen woods, recycled clothing, and whatever else I can come up with. Nature is beautiful, you just need to look at it differently. My philosophy: life’s too short not to play (with fiber). Hook Shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/craftwich
